Quick Answer: M Case vs N Case Chase Cars

2026 Hot Wheels M Case: Ford Model A Custom ’31 is the collector-tracked regular Treasure Hunt, and Porsche 911 Carrera RS 2.7 is the Super Treasure Hunt. 2026 N Case: Fast Fish is the regular Treasure Hunt, and ’23 Ram 1500 is the Super Treasure Hunt.

Important: These cars are associated with their respective assortments; that does not guarantee any one sealed carton contains a Treasure Hunt or Super Treasure Hunt.

This guide compares a curated selection of 2026 M and N Case models, chase cars, recolors and collecting themes. The selections are based on collector case tracking and HotWheelsHub’s existing yearly and monthly reporting. They are not complete box-by-box manifests or a Mattel-certified inventory of every carton.

A short visual comparison of the two assortments, their regular and Super Treasure Hunts, and what collector checklists mean.

What Is in the 2026 Hot Wheels M Case?

M Case tracking brings together a Porsche chase variation, classic American cars, a Formula racing model and several recolors. For its earlier monthly context, see our July 2026 M Case watchlist.

M Case Regular TH and Super TH

The Ford Model A Custom ’31 (#229), tracked in Rod Squad with matte moody blue paint, is the regular Treasure Hunt. The Porsche 911 Carrera RS 2.7 (#208), tracked in Then and Now, is the Super Treasure Hunt in Spectraflame brown.

Collectors also track a standard Porsche release in metalflake brown. A shared casting name and mainline number do not mean the two finishes are identical.

M Case 2026 New-Model Highlights

  • Ferrari F2004 (#173): red, HW Starting Grid.
  • ’19 Audi TT Safari (#223): white, HW Dirt.
  • Salt Streaker (#226): blue, Team Wheels.
  • ’63 Ford Galaxie (#241): metalflake blue, Cool Classics.

Other M Case Arrivals and Recolors

Other cars appearing in collector-tracked new-to-case records include the ’71 Lamborghini Miura SV, ’66 Buick Riviera, ’70 Custom Plymouth Road Runner, ’19 Mercedes-Benz A-Class, ’68 Mercury Cougar and Slide-Burn. Selected reported recolors include Ferrari 12Cilindri, Mazda RX-7, Toyota Prius Custom, Datsun 240Z and Bone Shaker.

Terminology: “New to case” does not always mean “new casting for 2026.” A case can include a returning car in a new color.

What Is in the 2026 Hot Wheels N Case?

N Case tracking pairs a pickup-truck Super Treasure Hunt with a fantasy-car regular Treasure Hunt, plus several entertainment-themed and compact new models. The August 2026 release guide has broader Case N collector context; this page focuses on comparing M and N.

N Case Regular TH and Super TH

The regular Treasure Hunt is Fast Fish (#238), tracked in Team Wheels with metalflake blue paint. The Super Treasure Hunt is the ’23 Ram 1500 (#234), tracked in HW Dirt with Spectraflame purple paint.

A standard ’23 Ram 1500 is also listed in a lighter purple finish. The model name alone does not establish that a car is the Super Treasure Hunt.

N Case 2026 New-Model Highlights

  • Mini JCW Electric (#209): mint, Then and Now.
  • Armored Batmobile (#233): metalflake dark gray, Batman.
  • Mickey Mouse Car (#236): red, HW Screen Time.
  • Go-Realla-Fast (#239): dark gray, Trophy Case.

Other N Case Arrivals and Recolors

Other tracked new-to-case cars include Party Wagon, Circle Tracker, Surf ’N Turf and the ’96 Chevrolet Impala SS. Recolor highlights include McLaren W1, ’85 Honda City Turbo II, Datsun 620, Tooned Volkswagen Golf Mk1 and 24/Seven.

Retail-exclusives caution: Walmart ZAMAC and Target Red Edition cars are retailer-specific programs, not standard M/N carton guarantees. Third-party catalogs also vary in how they associate certain Red Editions with case letters. Confirm the retailer, card and actual release details separately before treating an exclusive as part of a specific box.

M Case vs N Case: Which Cars Should You Watch For?

The better case depends on your collecting theme. This is a practical shortlist, not a resale-price forecast or a ranking of rarity.

How to Identify a Real TH or Super TH

Start by comparing the listed paint finishes and then examine the wheels, card and model markings. Both the M Case Porsche and N Case Ram have standard and Super versions associated with the same casting name.

  1. Check the actual car. The Porsche Super is tracked with Spectraflame brown, and the Ram Super with Spectraflame purple.
  2. Check more than the color. Examine the wheels and applicable card/model markings rather than relying on a seller’s wording or a single low-resolution photo.
  3. Know what the official source proves. In its 2025 Super Treasure Hunt set description, Mattel describes Spectraflame paint and Real Riders wheels as general STH features. That 2025 description does not independently verify either 2026 M or N model.
  4. Allow for market variation. Packaging and retail availability can differ by region, and a case designation is not proof that a particular car is inside one carton.

Why a Case Checklist Is Not a Sealed-Carton Manifest

A collector checklist groups models associated with an assortment. A physical carton contains a particular mix. Those are different things: a list of cars that may appear does not promise all of them in every box.

Conceptual illustration only. A case checklist does not guarantee the models or quantities inside an individual sealed carton.

Do not assume a Super is guaranteed. No verified universal 2026 M or N insertion rate or per-carton Super Treasure Hunt quantity is established by the sources used for this guide. Retailers may receive cases at different times and in different mixes.

  • Case letters organize tracked mainline assortments, not fixed official retail months.
  • A photographed carton or list from one location is not a promise of another store’s stock.
  • Retailer-exclusive Red Editions and ZAMAC releases must be checked against their specific retailer program.
  • For practical carton labeling, see our Hot Wheels case-code decoder.

A Practical 2026 M and N Case Hunt Checklist

This short list is for your collecting notes, not a complete carton inventory. Prioritize cars that fit your collection, and confirm individual paint and markings before paying a premium.

  • New models: Mini JCW Electric (#209), Armored Batmobile (#233), Mickey Mouse Car (#236), Go-Realla-Fast (#239).

Note: Store exclusives are deliberately excluded from this carton-focused shortlist because channel and case labeling require separate checks.

Research Method and Source Limits

HotWheelsHub compared its collector-tracked 2026 release reporting and case records when preparing this guide. M and N car associations are research-based, not an official manufacturer-issued list of guaranteed carton contents. No representative set of sealed boxes was physically tested for this article. Mattel’s linked historical Super Treasure Hunt description supports general feature terminology only, not the 2026 case-specific lineup.

Color, case assignment, retailer exclusives and distribution may change or be recorded differently across independent collector references. Treat time-sensitive case details as a check-before-purchase reference.

Bottom Line

M Case: Ford Model A Custom ’31 regular TH and Porsche 911 Carrera RS 2.7 Super TH. N Case: Fast Fish regular TH and ’23 Ram 1500 Super TH. Both assortments have worthwhile model highlights, but neither is a guaranteed Super Treasure Hunt carton.

For the broader year, use the 2026 Treasure Hunt and Super TH tracker and the 2026 Hot Wheels releases hub.

Frequently Asked Questions About 2026 Hot Wheels M & N Cases

Is a Super Treasure Hunt guaranteed in every 2026 M or N case?

No. Collector case checklists identify the Super Treasure Hunt associated with an assortment, but they do not promise that an individual sealed carton contains one.

Are M Case and N Case official release months?

No. Case letters identify collector-tracked mainline assortments, not a fixed Mattel retail calendar. Distribution can vary by country and retailer.
